A little bit of history.
We met a guy at Alrewas who knows the provenance of Almyne.
He tells me that she was built by the Teddesley Boat Company at Penkridge (where Midland Chandlers are), and is easily recognisable by it's very distinctive stern. The Bijou Line, a hire boat company, also had works there and built similar boats.
The guy who told us this claims he was the publicity agent for both companies at the time, so I have to believe his sincerity.
Also, there is a 'Hoseasons' sticker just above one of the windows.
