OK, so I am trying to play catch up. Those of you who know me are aware of the difficulties I have been facing, and hence the break in the narrative, but I am hoping to catch up on it and resume normal service once I have discovered what normal service is.
After the debacle in Coventry we travelled during the course of the month from Coventry to Hawkesbury Junction, on to Marston and then Fazeley where I collected my boat license from the British Waterways office there, who were holding it for me.
From there along to Fradley Junction and through Rugeley to Great Haywood.
At Rugeley we bumped into Dowie who had been looking after Almyne Too for me. He hadn't got on too well with her and decided that I could have her back. Sorted out the hitches and off we went again.
From Great Haywood, passing through Stoke on Trent and the Harecastle Tunnel we arrived at Kidsgrove and the junction with the Macclesfield Canal
